“Global Haiku – Connecting the World Through Your Translations!”

KHSEM, the global cultural exchange platform, has announced an open recruitment drive for “Global Haiku Translators.”
Although haiku is a traditional Japanese three-line poem, today it is enjoyed worldwide as a unique, concise poetic form.
This project aims to connect haiku from around the world in multiple languages, allowing more people to share in their beauty and emotional impact.

Open to Everyone – Official Certification Badges Awarded for 100+ Approved Translations

The KHSEM translation system is open to anyone after a simple sign-up.
From first-time translators to professionals, students, and poetry enthusiasts, anyone can freely choose a haiku they wish to work on and submit their translation.

One of the standout features is the automatic awarding of official KHSEM certification badges and completion certificates based on the cumulative number of approved translations:

These badges are displayed on the translator’s profile and serve as a mark of distinction within the KHSEM community.

Grow Together with Poets and Translators Worldwide – “My Translation Can Move the World”

A KHSEM representative stated:

“Even with advances in AI translation, the subtle nuances and cultural context of poetry require a human touch. Translating haiku is an art form in itself, akin to creating new poetry. We hope this project will inspire translators to exchange ideas and grow as global poets and translators.”

Distinguished Translators to Be Inducted into the Hall of Fame – Path to Becoming a ‘Global Haiku Translation Master’

Translators who meet certain milestones (e.g., 300 or 500 approved works) will be featured in the KHSEM Hall of Fame on the official website.
In future partnerships with universities and public institutions, these translators may also receive global completion certificates, letters of recommendation, and other exclusive benefits.
